OEASA and Recreation SA joined forces to present the 2010 State Outdoor Conference at the Education Development Centre Hindmarsh 1 November 2010
Coordinating proceedings was Ian Dewey, CEO of Recreation SA.
The opening address was by Greg Leaman, Director National Parks and Wildlife
Luke Adams gave the Keynote Address: Climbing in Switzerland, Matterhorn and Piz-Badille
The public launch of the Get Out and Stay Out program was by the Hon Michael Wright MP
The rhino was not a speaker, but was representing one of the sponsors in the display gallery
Hal Payne of Capricorn Sea Kayaking described his activities in the Ningaloo Reef and other WA areas
Dave Edwards and Alex McGregor had a hands-on session on GPS use in outdoor activities
Out on the lawn, Mike Meredith ran a Games and activities for camps session
Scott Polley’s topic was the updated requirements for Remote area First Aid
After-dinner speaker was Sandy Robson, sea kayaker
Emily Rozee described the activities of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.
